Welcome to the Leather Zoo Street Team page. If you are a fan of the band, over 16 years old and keen to help promote the band in your area and also in your country then we are looking for you... yeah - you!!
A street team is a group of fans working together to promote the band (Leather Zoo) in their area.
A street team is NOT a means to meet the band or get free tickets to shows. This might occasionally happen but don't completely count on it. We don't want you to be dissappointed if it doesn't.
The Leather Zoo Street Team is based here on the Internet and works both together as a whole and in local groups on several kinds of promotional jobs. The following are some examples of those jobs.
- Requesting songs/videos on your local radio-/tv-stations by phone/internet.
- Voting for Leather Zoo and/or their songs/videos on internet-polls/-charts.
- Spreading stickers/flyers to advertise the band among potential fans.
- Advertising Leather Zoo and/or their songs/videos on websites such as MySpace.
- Requesting articles about the band in your local magazines by internet/post.
- Checking the availability of Leather Zoos releases at your local record stores.
- Requesting appearances of the band on your local tv-shows by internet/post.
Of course the team members discuss these promotional activities within the team, so next to working for the band you might just make some (more) friends among your fellow-fans as well!
As requested by the band, there are a few requirements you have to meet in order to join, just so we know you'll make a good street teamer.
Please note again: if you become a member of this street team, it DOES NOT necessarily mean that you will meet the band. If your only reason for wanting to join this street team is meeting Leather Zoo then please DO NOT sign up. This may sound a little harsh but you surely understand that the band cannot be everywhere and meet everybody. The music and the other fans would suffer too much
The band has requested that all the street team members respect the privacy of the band and behave professionally and in a mature manner. The street team administration has the right to reject applications and remove street team members from the team without prior notification if they are not acting in a way that is good for the band. This means that any behaviour that would impair the functioning of the team as a whole may be reason for exclusion from the street team.

Please make sure to have a forum-account before applying to the team, with at least one post in it just to make sure your account works properly. (Some simple suggestions would be a post about your current favourite Leather Zoo-song or member or concert experience in | this thread | or just a "hello" in the | Newbie Forum | .) We can not accept you on the street team if you do not have a working account on this forum. Besides: Why would you want to join the Street Team if you dont even want to talk about the band?Age 16 or older
You have to be at least 16 years old to join; the band requests this and it seems fairly logical since you are not allowed in certain public areas such as bars, pubs and concert venues by yourself if you are under 16!Love the band!

Apart from helping promote Leather Zoo?
Again: Being a member of the street team DOES NOT mean that you get free tickets to gigs or get to meet the band. What it does mean is that if they get better known in your area, then they're likely to have more media appearances; and if venues and concert organisers sense a demand, they're more likely to try and book Leather Zoo for concerts! You DO NOT get special/free tickets for such events based on your street team membership then though.
With your promotion you could also earn some great Leather Zoo goodies every now and then, for instance via Street Team competitions! These could be signed CD's or posters or (IN VERY SELECT CASES) even meeting the band when they are in your area.
To help with promotion, you might receive stickers and/or flyers or layouts for flyers that you can copy and distribute, but the team is still in the organising stage when it comes to that now!

In due time it is planned that this page will have a log-in area with downloads and features that will only be accessible to members of the Leather Zoo Street Team and will help them in promoting the band and/or working for the Street Team in their areas.
